The Power of Reinvention: Navigating Career Changes in Switzerland!

If you’re looking for inspiration on how to follow your heart so you can do what you love, or get tips and insights on how to switch industries successfully and pain-free, or even completely start your career over in Switzerland, this event is for you. 

 

We’re thrilled to open the event with a keynote speech from Melanie Schweickardt (stage name: Blazy Flash), songwriter and lead singer of a rock-band Beyond Frequencies. Mel is an ex-marketing executive, who before her comeback with Beyond Frequencies in 2020 was told several times that she was too old to return to the music world. 

 

She proved everyone wrong 💥

 

After hearing from Mel, we’re going to have two panels:
 

  1. A panel focused on personal stories of transition, full of tips about getting and navigating interviews,overcoming fear of rejection and uncertainty, building a professional network and more!

From corporate finance and supply chain to self-employment, DEI and culture and back into the corporate world but in a completely new field: Organizational change and culture… Valentina proves that anything is possible but doesn’t shy away from sharing that it takes work, passion, persistence and a willingness to reach out to your network. Valentina will share her motivation behind each of the transitions, lessons learnt along the way, the amount of CV sent, interviews held, and the many mistakes she made, so that you can hopefully avoid some of them!

Kristin Fuchs & The Women Back to Business programme at HSG: this program  is designed for women with a university degree or advanced technical college degree who would like to return to the workforce, reposition themselves professionally or take on more responsibility. The programme offers updates on the latest concepts and insights into the most relevant  management topics. It includes core & elective modules, skills workshops and individual career consulting, offers 12 ECTS points and leads to a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Management. Our aim is to help women succeed professionally.

Evgeniya Vodolazova & Capacity: Capacity is a talent and startup incubator for persons with a refugee or migrant background. Since 2015, they empower entrepreneurs to launch a business or a socio-cultural initiative in Switzerland. Since 2022, they are also running Access Fast Track, a comprehensive labour market integration and talent placement programme for highly qualified job seekers from non-EU countries.

 

Since its launch just 12 months ago, Access Fast Track has supported 100  participants, 80% of whom are women, re-entering the workforce after a break, relocation or a career change.

Priska Burkard& CAS Women Leading Digital HWZ: This course is specifically designed for women who want to pursue a career in tech, grow as leaders and have an impact. Exciting topics await you: leadership and negotiation skills, artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital business models, impact management, personal branding, media training and much more!

 

The first CAS for female leaders in tech in Switzerland is organised by the HWZ Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich and is taught by female experts and pioneers from the field.
