Event speakers

​

Dr. MD Mph Diane Wu, World Health Organization​​​​​​​ - public health physician and a senior advisor to the WHO disease programs, including communicable and noncommunicable diseases and mental health conditions. In this role, she leads on cross-cutting initiatives and special projects. She has over 15 years of experience in leading global public health organizations including the WHO and World Bank. Earlier in her career, Diane was a primary and urgent care physician, and a strategy consultant for leading private and public healthcare organizations.

 

Dr. Antonella Santuccione Chadha, Women’s Brain Project, Altoida​​​​​​​ - CEO of the Women’s Brain Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the influence of sex and gender on mental health, brain health, and neurological diseases. She is also Chief Medical Officer at Altoida, a precision neurology company pioneering non-invasive brain health diagnostics using AI and augmented reality.

 

Nicola Greenway, Takeda, Group Head of HR, Global Portfolio Division, is astrategic leader who has held both HR and non-HR roles and who brings extensive international experience, business acumen and entrepreneurial drive. Often described as a Change Agent and thought partner to executive leaders (C-Suite), she has led large functions in FTSE 100, Fortune 500 and NYSE listed companies, helping major businesses units and regions to align people and talent strategies with their business goals.

 

Dr. PhD Sanja Baumann-Tomovska, Founder & CEO Quant Biomarkers​​​​​​​ is a global pharmaceutical executive, entrepreneur, and medical scientist, serving on boards in life science companies, with 20+ years’ in leading development and commercialization of new medicines and diagnostics. She started with a PhD in cancer research, supported by INSEAD business education and an extensive industry experience with track record of leading highly successful business turnarounds, scaling new businesses and expanding access to medicines globally.

Moderator - Dr. PhD Sonja Merkas Pharma & Oligo Expert​​​​​​​ Dr. Sonja Merkas takes particular interest in the future possibilities of oligonucleotides, a relatively new class of therapeutics with the potential to save patients who are suffering from rare genetic diseases. Her interest and connection to synthetic RNA & DNA started with her Ph.D. on how oligo-based nano-systems would mimic natural photosynthesis and continued during her Post Doc at ETH in Zürich.

Since that time, he has led the transformation of Global Quality at the company in the development of one Quality Management System and the establishment of one Global Quality Leadership team.
