About the event
Virtual presenting has quickly become our new normal and is likely to remain a defining feature of our worklife for the foreseeable future. When we’re no longer with people in person, online meetings are often the only ways we can get ‘face time’ with our colleagues and customers, making them increasingly important.
But as we’ve all been learning through the experience of lockdowns, presenting and interacting online require a different skillset, and different energy, to presenting and interacting in person.
In this workshop together we’ll explore the fundamentals of great presenting when you’re not physically present. From the logistics and technicalities of creating a professional visual image to building rapport online, to speaking up and ensuring your voice is heard, we’ll look at how you can increase your personal impact in virtual meetings to create the professional results you want.
Using skills from television presenting, working on camera, and public speaking we’ll focus on:
· Understanding the different requirements of different virtual meetings
· How to create a professional image in a virtual meeting
· How to build rapport and engage effectively with colleagues.
· How to speak up and be heard in a virtual environment
· How to manage unplanned interruptions
