About the event

This documentary is empowering women and bringing a feminine narrative to the outdoor practice. It brings gender equality to the forefront of the debate and encourages all of us to take part in creating an equal world.

The film tells the inspirational story of two snowboarding world champions’ journey across Iceland. Anne-Flore Marxer and Aline Bock explore the country in a van, through their beloved adventure sports, snowboarding and surfing. They introduce the viewers to the history of Icelandic women as their travel unfolds.

”a land shaped by women” was selected in 80 film festivals and won 11 awards already, amongst which are Best Film at St Anton Film Festival in Austria, Best Feature Film at Shextreme Film Festival in Bristol UK, Outstanding Excellence of Human Spirit and Cinematography at Docs Without Borders Film Festival, Best Cinematography at Rising Above Festival Los Angeles USA, People’s Choice at Adventure Uncovered Film Festival London UK. Take a glimpse at the trailer here.

You are warmly invited to the screening of this documentary, which will be followed by a fire-side chat on gender equality with Anne-Flore and an apero afterwards. The event will take place on Tuesday 5 February and starts at 6.30pm. We’re kindly hosted by PWC at their Experience Centre, Rieterstrasse 6, 8002 Zurich.

Please note that all profits of the events will go to Anne-Flore, to support her work.
